'Chandancharchitanilkalevar pitavasanabanamali. Kelichalanmanikundalamanditagandayugasmitshali..' This is the first novel in Bengali literature written about the life of the poet of Geetagovindam, 'Bhakta Kavi Jayadeva'. Taking refuge in history, in this long research-based novel, the author has presented the history of Kenduli, temples and the Senapahari region of Kankasa. The foundation of this novel has been written through continuous labor and deep research. Kenduli, which is still famous today in the name of poet Jayadeva. The history of this ancient riverbank of Makar Mela also revolves around poet Jayadeva. Although the central character of this novel is Jayadeva, the novel is actually a document of the social life of a period in Radha-Banga. Just as King Laxman Sen of Bengal of that time appears in this novel, so do the people of the lower classes. At the beginning of the novel, we meet the blacksmiths. History, mythology, and folklore are mixed into the story. Any good novel set in a historical setting also indulges the imagination. In this novel too, Radha Madhav's imagination has taken flight as needed. Perhaps because it is a biography of a poet, some parts of the novel are almost like poetry. The lives of King Lakshman Sen, Kabibandhu Parashar, Bhojdev, and Padmavati are also mixed around the life of poet Jaydev. Along with the reign of the Bargids, there is talk of Bangladesh, Kashi, and Puri of Jagannath Dev. The story of time, time, and a great life revolves around this life of the devotee poet.
